PUBLIC NOTICE:

Pursuant to Education Code section 5328, the Board of Trustees of the Fortuna Union High School District intends to appoint one (1) qualified person to the Board. Persons interested in applying for the position may obtain an application online at www.fuhsdistrict.org or by calling or writing to Kelly Pedrotti, District Secretary at (707) 725-4462, Fortuna Union High School District Office, 379 Twelfth Street, Fortuna, CA 95540-2398.

Completed applications must be received in the District Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019. The current members of the Board of Trustees will interview applicants in open session at a meeting on Monday, May 20, 2019.

SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE

The latest release of the FUHSD graduation rates shows the following rates:

AR 88.00% East 37.29% FHS 85.88% FUHSD 74.80%

These rates reflect inaccurate data. Inaccurate data was reported to the California Department of Education for last year’s graduates. The data has been corrected, but too late for the release.

The following depicts the correct graduation rates for 2017-18:

AR 95.83% East 84.75% FHS 97.02% FUHSD 94.02%

We apologize for our errors in reporting. The situation has been rectified and steps are in place to ensure this mistake is not duplicated.

Public Media Release for East High School

Fortuna Union High School District announced an amendment to its policy for serving meals to students under the National School Lunch / School Breakfast Programs for the 2018-2019 school year. All students at our East High School site will be served lunch and breakfast at no charge.
