Superintendent Clint Duey
It is my honor to serve as the Superintendent of the Fortuna Union High School District. As a proud graduate of Fortuna High School (Class of 1993), it is both humbling and rewarding to lead the district where my own educational journey began.
After earning my Bachelor of Arts in History and a Social Science teaching credential from Humboldt State University, I began my teaching career at East High School before returning to Fortuna High School as a history teacher. In 2009, I transitioned into administration, serving as Vice-Principal and then Principal of Fortuna High School for over a decade. In 2023, I was given the privilege of becoming Superintendent of FUHSD.
My passion for education has been shaped by years in the classroom and in leadership roles, supported by advanced studies in Educational Administration at National University. I believe deeply in the power of education to change lives, and I am committed to fostering a culture where every student is valued, challenged, and supported.
Beyond my professional role, I am blessed with a wonderful family—my wife, Emily, and our three children, Haylee, Alexander, and Christopher. They are my greatest source of inspiration and remind me daily of the importance of creating strong schools and communities.
I look forward to working together with students, families, staff, and the greater community to continue building a district that prepares our students for bright futures. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting the success of all students.
